A Study to Help Older Adults LIVEBETTER

The purpose of the LIVEBETTER study is to find out which type of heart medications (beta-blockers or calcium channel blockers) contributes to a better quality of life in older adults with heart pain.  Quality of life includes function, symptoms, and help with day-to-day activities.

To compare the long-term effectiveness and safety of specific anti-anginal medicine treatment approaches in older adults with multiple chronic conditions presenting with stable angina.

Care needs will be different for everyone and can range from helping with occasional tasks to providing around-the-clock care.  Throughout the study, we will ask about the type of help you provide, how often, and how burdensome it is for you.

“As you get older, with health issues, you want to know more about the medication and the treatment. All of this is to have a better quality of life, to LIVE BETTER.”
